Create TheLAB is led by founder Mykel Reto, whose production experience spans live entertainment, civic engagements, and brand environments.

For 12 years, we owned a venue. We weren’t passing through for a load-in. We lived with the lighting, the sound, the flow of the room, and the expectations of every guest who walked through the door.

That history includes hosting Snoop Dogg’s birthday and providing the venue, LED walls, and lighting support for MelodyVR’s Live from LA series. It taught us to think beyond the stage—and to design the whole experience.

Hundreds of events taught us to build for the whole experience: Hawthorne State of the City addresses, political election nights, American Black Film Festival programming, and livestreams. Today, our team brings that same care to major brands, event agencies, city and county engagements, and a current Los Angeles Public Library audiovisual services contract. Based in Torrance. Ready to build wherever the moment takes us.
